Privacy policy.

I recognise the importance of privacy for all my website users and I am committed to protect any personal information I receive and hold. Most of my website can be viewed without the need to give me any information which personally identifies you. However, sometimes, I will need additional information about you to be able to provide you with details of the services you would like to receive from me.

1. How I collect information.

There are two different ways I collect and process information: Personally identifiable information: this is the information that you voluntarily provide to me through my website (for instance your name, email address, phone number and other contact information). I use these details for the purpose of responding to your request for further information about my services. Cookies: a cookie is created when you use your browser to visit a website that uses cookies to keep track of your movements within the site. It is a text-only string of information that a website transfers to the cookie file of the browser on the hard disk of a user’s computer so that the website can remember that user. Without cookies, websites and their servers have no memory. This means that every time a user opens a new webpage on a website, the server where that webpage is stored will treat the user as new and may require logon details and a password. In short, a cookie facilitates a users easy passage through a website.

2. Why do I collect your information?

If you want to know more about my services, it’s important that I can get back to you as soon as possible with all the fantastic things I can do for you! Without your personal information I wouldn’t be able to do this.

3. Where I store your information and how I protect this.

I have obligations to take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Therefore, when you provide personal information, I store this in a secure database. The information will then be used to respond to your request for services/further information and may be used to provide you with additional information about services which I believe may be of interest. Your personal details will be retained for the time period necessary for the purposes for which they have been collected. They may be shared by me with subcontractors to the extent necessary to maintain my systems and/or fulfil your request. There are confidentiality obligations on all my subcontractors who have access to this information.

4. Can you access your personal information?

Yes. I will aim to deal with all requests for access as soon as I can and if you so request, I will amend any personal information about you held by me which you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If we disagree about the accuracy, completeness or currency of a record of your personal information held by me, I will take reasonable steps to document a statement to that effect on the relevant record.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy.

It may be necessary for me to change this Policy over time. I will update any changes by posting an amended version of this Privacy Policy page on my website.

6. Who to contact.

For any enquiries or concerns with information held by me, I will take these issues seriously and will work to address them. If you would like to access personal information that I hold about you, or have a complaint, question or feedback, please contact me initially at nickprowse@mac.com. I will respond to you within a reasonable time, usually 14 days, to let you know that I am aware of your query. I will try to resolve the issue within 30 days.
